Old West Baltimore Renaissance Initiative
West Baltimore has a deep legacy of art, activism, and community resilience and has long been a center of Black culture in Baltimore.
Launched in 2021, the Old West Baltimore Renaissance Initiative builds on that legacy by revitalizing historic West Baltimore neighborhoods and adjacent communities through mixed-income housing and place-based development— honoring heritage while working toward a more inclusive future.
